My day ended with a "cupcake tasting extravaganza" with 10 other families…we indulged!!! It was beyond bakery-fresh and complete confectionary-perfection! We are fans of CLOUD29 desserts & events! The company owner/baker/coordinator is a dear friend of mine from college. She has an incredible culinary background, displays perfection when it comes to events, and is simply amazing at what she does--Eunice, I'm so proud of you!!! The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies! | Diada Biada

Diada Biada would like to share their favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe with you today!!! Actually...it's the only one they know. I once google'd "best chocolate chip cookie recipe" and this happened to be the first one on the list. Chances are that it would be decadent (as Giada would say). And to my surprise, it's been my go-to recipe for a cookie crave. Today was super special because of our honorary guests: The Siblings! Hurray for winter break and the time we get to spend with family and friends.

And while you're here...I'd like to share what we remember this Christmas:

There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby. It was night, and they were looking after their sheep. An angel of the Lord appeared to them. And the glory of the Lord shone around them. They were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy. It is for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord. Here is how you will know I am telling you the truth. You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger." Suddenly a large group of angels from heaven also appeared. They were praising God. They said, "May glory be given to God in the highest heaven! And may peace be given to those he is pleased with on earth!" (Luke 2:8-14)

Strawberry Sprinkles Cupcake Recipe | Diada Biada

Sprinkles Cupcakes is always a treat because #1...they're $$$ and #2...we live so far from the nearest location!!! So what better way to get a bite of this sophisticated take on a classic American cupcake??? Have DIADA BIADA bake 'em for you!!! They taste just like the real thing too!~ Only downside...we used the food processor, stand mixer, and hand mixer. There sure was a lot of cleaning up to do! :)

(I completely forgot to take a picture of the final product =( ...we were too busy eating & passing them out to the neighbors)

Oreos. It's one of the only cookies I'll buy at the grocery store. So when Diada presented to me an Oreo Cupcake Recipe...I made sure there was enough milk for my 2 year old...and me!!!

You can either break apart the Oreo (left) like Diada...or just drop the entire cookie in (right) as done by Biada!


To tell you the truth...this was my first time using shortening (keeps the frosting white). I still prefer butter~

Diada Biada usually takes a bath break while the baked goods are cooling. Notice the wet hair & change in wardrobe? :)


They're good without frosting too! I love how you get a perfect amount of cookie + bread.

Hole-y Cake | Diada Biada

It's so fun watching these two grow up together! She used to massage his legs...he used to bite her. Now she scolds him...he returns the love by tackling her. I wonder what their relationship will be five/ten years from now!

For some reason, Tuesday nights have turned into 'baking night'...so I wanted to show off some of the amazing things Diada Biada have made. It can get out of control at times, but I build up as much patience as I can to let them do most of the prepping/baking. They scoop dry ingredients, measure wet ingredients, crack the eggs, and have full control over the stand mixer. The only thing they aren't allowed to touch is the oven. :) I even try to make them clean afterwards...but I usually just turn on some Giada for them to watch ;)

Now onto our Hole-y Cake!!! This is a cream cheese pound cake (recipe has been modified from here) that requires very little ingredients and is easy to make!
