Dear Naomi…from your newborn shoot to your first birthday…it's been beautiful to capture & watch you reach milestones and grow so much this past year! D&R Princess Party | Already 4

Low on milk...again...

My 2-year-old can drink a gallon of milk in just a week so we're always making trips to Costco or going on late night runs to the local supermarket. I prefer to run errands without the hassle of loading and unloading kids, stroller, groceries...having to feed/change in the car...and the possibility of a meltdown. Just yesterday, I went out at 10PM to pick up some milk, when I found myself walking up and down every aisle...walking at a snail's pace...reading ingredient labels...looking for sale items...talking to strangers. Then I texted a friend of mine:

"Going to the market at 10PM without kids feels like a mini-vacation!"

Moms are nocturnal. We are productive at night. Evenings are golden. We strive when the house is quiet and kids are asleep. So if we're not making late night runs to Target...of course we're cutting glittery tulle to make the most adorable DIY princess tutus!!!

A tiara doesn't make you more precious or pretty because God has created you in His image. We pray you girls will take delight in the Lord and be an outshining of His glory. Happy Birthday to D&R!

Already 2 | Birthday Party

We've been able to show the girls (E & D) pictures and posts from the past...and it's so fun watching E read the blog. In hopes of blogging for a few more years...here's to you my baby boy! I hope you can read this and see how much fun you were at two. They say you're supposed to be "terrible" at two....but I think you're terrific!!! No...you were not a perfect toddler....and yes...you got in trouble (multiple times a day). You & I had lots of "meetings" in our walk-in closet and after a good disciplining session...I would always pray for you...asking God to reveal his love and grace more and more to you each day. I pray everyday for your heart...that it would be pure and full of joy so that you would glorify Him & enjoy Him. You are so fun at two!!! Thank you for making mommy laugh all the time. I love when you grab my cheeks and say, "chubby, chubby!" I love when you "tippy tippy tippy-toe" around the house and do your version of a jazz walk. I love our laugh attacks. I love you. Happy Birthday.
