Labor & Delivery

Today is March 18th--my actual due date!!! However, Brady arrived two weeks earlier...all in God's perfect timing. I couldn't have asked for a better due date--Jason's often at the hospital taking 'call,' so one thing I asked God during my pregnancy was that Brady would arrive on a day when Jason would be home. I prayed that Jason would be able to witness the birth of our son and that I wouldn't be alone when it was time. Well, on Saturday, March 5th, during a golden weekend for the husband (meaning, no work!), Braydon Mark Lee was born at 2:36 in the afternoon. Now on with the pictures of my labor & delivery! VIEWERS DISCRETION ADVISED ^_*

I was admitted to St. Jude Medical Center at around 7:00am. I gave myself a 'palm to fist pound' and told myself..."game time." And of course, I prayed like crazy!!!

Monitoring me & baby

Eeeks! The most painful part....getting the IV needle in~

Nap time.

And all of a sudden, the nurse comes in tells me she wants me to give her one good push...and soon after I do so, she tells me to stop! The baby is coming!!!

...Baby Brady popped out after 10 minutes of pushing! Thank you epidural.

Precious moments

Jason cutting the umbilical cord

Thank you God...I truly felt His presence that day.

Brady!

Born with big hands

The grandmas!

And some of our visitors

Last but not least, a picture of Brady under some light therapy (looks like he's in a tanning booth...chillin'). After being discharged and at home for 5 days, he was admitted back to the hospital for jaundice. He stayed in the NICU for 2 nights, possibly the longest two nights of our lives, and is now back at home strong and healthy.

I'm so thankful for this experience. Thank you friends & family for your prayers & support. A big thanks to my mom...and a special thank you to my sister {L of L&M} who was there for me during my pregnancy, during my L&D, and is still here...postpartum. What would I do without family?
